Just visiting my own blog and realize that I’ve been hiatus
for more than a year.. Whatttt?!?!
The last post was in 2010. I really didn’t realize this.
Sorry blogy.. I was too busy for my new little thing, the Little Phoenix ;)
So let’s start it again!
Back to the early year of 2011, on Wed, 19 Jan 2011, I was
giving a birth for a cute baby girl, named Phoenix Ileana Adhitya.
She was born at RS. Asri at Jalan Duren Tiga, Jaksel. We
chose this hospital because when I moved from Aek Kanopan, I really confused on
which doctor I should go to. Choosing a doctor who will help you giving a birth
is almost like choosing a husband *hyperbolic ;p*. I have several
considerations for the doctor to be chosen. First, I prefer a male. Why?
Because female tends to be arrogant and cruel. For me, there is also a logic behind
that circumstance. Female usually has ever gone to give a birth, she can do it
so that if it is hurt, she will easily say that it is common, don’t be too ‘cengeng’,
etc, etc. if it is a male, he will usually be more careful, speak politely, communicate
nicely if something is going to be hurt, etc, etc.
Second, he really needs to be communicative and it should be
comfort to talk to him. He doesn’t talk in rush as if he gets too many patients
outside and he wants to finish it soon, he shows patience when he listen to any
explanation, etc.
Third, the hospital should be reachable for a single parent
like me ;) since the husband is 1,000+ km away from Jakarta and cannot accompany
me all the time I need to do routine check up.
Now, about the name.
Phoenix is the name of a bird from the Greek myth. Or in
Indian, it is known as Garuda. But since she is a girl and we cannot name her
Garudi *winkwink*, so we named her Phoenix. We picked this name not because at
that time Garuda song was sung everywhere *Garuda di dadaku, Garuda
kebanggaanku* *LOL*, but more because the meaning of the name.
Taken from Wikipedia, Phoenix is:
‘The phoenix,
or phenix (Greek: Φοίνιξ Greek
pronunciation: [ˈfiniks], Persian:
ققنوس, Arabic: العنقاء أو طائر
الفينيق, Chinese:
鳳凰
or 不死鳥,Hebrew:
פניקס), is a mythical
sacred firebird that can be found in the mythologies of
the Arabian, Persians, Greeks, Romans,Egyptians, Chinese, Indians and
(according to Sanchuniathon) Phoenicians.
It is described as a bird with a colorful plumage and a tail
of gold and scarlet (or purple, blue, and green according to some legends[which?]). It has a 500 to
1000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of twigs
that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes,
from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live
again. The new phoenix is destined to live as long as its old self. In some
stories, the new phoenix embalms the ashes of its old self in an egg made of
myrrh and deposits it in the Egyptian city of Heliopolis (literally
"sun-city" in Greek). It is said that the bird's cry is that of a
beautiful song. The Phoenix's ability to be reborn from its own ashes implies
that it is immortal, though in some stories the new Phoenix is merely the
offspring of the older one. In very few stories they are able to change into
people.’
Ileana is taken from Greek/Romanian name. It means the
brightest one, the shining one. We want her to be bright, to shine in her life.
Adhitya is her daddy’s name. Daddy really wants to start his
clan, his family name. And it will be started from Phoenix ;)
Ups, Phoenix wake up already.
Need to attend her call now!!
